Baltic Wave Winter Session

Image
After months of rather low winds we finally got some proper conditions in. The sun was out all day and the wind was just right for 3.7 and 4.0. I windsurfed all day. There were many people out but it was all good. Here are some photos shot by Tom Koehn photography .

Challenges make you stronger

Is it possible to sail well when it has been windy for 4.8 all the time and all of a sudden you are faced with a full on winter storm and gale force winds? I was holding on to my 3.3 today and it wasn't really easy to show a good performance. I hope tomorrow will be better. I chose to sail on the river close to home today and it was probably not the best call. The chop was really round and not suitable for backloops and other vertical jumps. Also, I was kind of taking it easy, since I didn't want to risk too much in these kinds of conditions. Here are some pictures from today:

Choose life. Choose windsurfing.

November was a very busy month and that's probably normal. Windsurfing was pretty much restricted to the weekends mixed with some occasional sneaky after work sessions. But no matter how much you work, take some off time for yourself. Driving to the sea, watching the waves, feeling the wind, feeling how nature changes with the seasons. Get inspired by nature. Renew yourself and find new energy.
