In the mountains
A little update from the far south of Germany - This time we had to go to a lake in Austria to get the best conditions. When we arrived at the spot, everybody had already rigged their smaller sails. But it was still wind calm. Everybody waited for the conditions to improve. The funny thing is this: the longer people are standing on the shore waiting for wind, the crazier the conversations get. I don't know if it's something to do with attitudes. But many guys behave like pros on the shore and I always get really excited and keep thinking: They are going to put on a really good show. But once on the water I get a different perspective on things and keep wondering: Where are the big moves?
Well, maybe it has to do with the rather difficult conditions we get here. And, despite some of them coming across as rather aloof, it's good to see some young guys doing what they love and pushing their level on the water. Even I had a lot of fun, slowly coming back after my injury. No rotations like burner or culo yet, but I could do some shakas, basic switch stuff and regular konos.
Here are some photos - thanks to Oli!
