Cycling in the December Sun
Wouldn't have thought that today would bring that much sunshine. I spontaneously joined the local bike group for a nice Sunday ride. It was really cold but I could feel the warmth of the sun's rays on my black clothes. Group rides are such a cool thing when everything looks out for one another. It also helps you to stay on track whenever you are not that motivated. Endurance sports are a great way of staying fit off the water when there's no wind. You have to find the right balance though. Too much endurance training makes your muscles slow. You need those fast twitch muscles for explosive freestyle moves. So don't overdo it. I also find that the more I run and cycle, the more I need to stretch.
